There are two tabs in the Search dialog box: Simple and Advanced that allow you to perform simple and advanced search respectively.

Simple tab:

The Simple tab allows you to search by the most important and frequently used attributes: Title, Artist, Album, Genre, and a range of Track numbers.

For string variables, all files that have the specified fragment will be found. For example, if you specify John in the Title field, tracks with both John and Elton John in their names will be found. When you specify track numbers, you should specify the first and the last tracks of the range. It means that if tracks from 3 to 7 are specified, search results will contain the tracks with numbers 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. If you do not specify the number of the first track, all tracks to the track specified in the to field inclusive will be found. If you do not specify the number of the last track, all tracks starting from the number specified in the from field will be found.

Advanced tab:

The Advanced tab allows you to perform advanced search according to the specified value range of the following properties: File Name, File Size, Artist, Title, Album, Year, Comment, Track Number, Genre, Composer, Orig. Artist, Copyright, URL, Encoded by, Bit rate, Sample rate, Duration, Encoder, Lyric.

Depending on the value type, the criteria of specifying the range may vary. The criteria for string values are: begins with, does not begin with, ends with, does not end with, contains, and does not contain, and for numerical values they are: equals, does not equal, is greater than, is greater than or equal to, is less than, and is less than or equal to. It is possible to specify two search criteria and indicate their logical relation (And or Or).

After setting all of the required parameters, start the search, pressing the Start button. The result of the search is the found files list in the lower list. Their editing capacities are the same as the editing capacities of the files in the standard files browsing mode. You can also use the Drag and Drop feature.

You can stop the search processing by pressing the Stop button. The Browse button servers for setting the initial directory of the recursive search. The Clear All button serves for clearing all of the window fields. To close the window, press the Close button or hit the Esc key.
